4 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
¾ cup water
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon.
Cover and cook over medium heat until tender, about 15 minutes.
Mash with a potato masher or for a smoother texture, purée in a blender.
