Sales Manager – Western US 

Location: Western US                        Status: Full Time        Start Date: Now! 

Position Scope:  The Sales Manager, Western Region will work closely with the COO in the planning, management and execution of Retail Sales for this part of the country. 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Planning: Support building of annual trade promotion calendar for region across retail customers
  2. Identifying and executing on opportunities to expand the sales of Foodstirs within multiple retail channels throughout the West (as far as Texas excluding Chicago), which includes working with Foodstirs broker and distributor network to maximize sales and distribution opportunities
  3. Managing all appointed brokers and distributors to achieve quality distribution in targeted accounts, including ensuring timely execution on new item introductions, schematic implementation and promotional programming and that they have all necessary resources required to succeed in the market place (e.g., product samples, sell sheets, promotional calendars, etc)
  4. Developing and monitoring incentive programs, contests, etc. in order to keep Foodstirs top-of-mind
  5. Ensuring that all related POS (e.g. secondary displays, shelf talkers, on-pack coupons, etc.) are ordered in the right quantities and utilized effectively in the marketplace. Requesting and analyzing distribution reports to determine market coverage and opportunities for future growth
  6. Conducting store audits (with broker management and/or field sales reps where possible) to ensure merchandising standards are adhered to and promotional programming is being executed
  7. Identifying and attending (i) trade shows and (ii) sampling opportunities (whether or not on-premises) to represent the brand and develop sales opportunities

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • High level experience in the Food Industry (Whole Foods, Sprouts, NCGA, INFRA, Safeway, Kroger, Ahold) with CPG selling background in dry baking mix and center store spaces highly preferred
  • Established relationships and demonstrated success working with key retail accounts along with the leading brokers and distributors (UNFI, Kehe, DPI, DOT Foods, etc), servicing these channels
  • Strong planning and organizational along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills, including full competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Proven Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a hands-on, fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Highly adaptable & resourceful
  • Proficient in Syndicated Data Tools (SPINS, Datagarden, Retailer Portals)
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout western United States

Operations Manager

Location: Santa Monica, CA             Status: Full Time        Start Date: Now!

Position Scope:  The Operations Manager will be our manufacturing and supply chain lead ensuring we are producing the highest quality product, consistently, and at the best price. 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement: Identify, plan, and negotiate ingredient buying and manage inventory/storage
  2. Production Planning: Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products - Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  3. Quality Control: Ensures product safety, regulatory compliance, and compliance with company standards as stated in the Quality Assurance Manual.
  4. Distribution & Logistics: Set up and negotiate most efficient and cost effective carrier network

*This position will work closely/have regular interaction with the COO on budget management, R & D Manager on Product Formulations & Integrity, our manufacturing partners, and ingredient vendors         

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years in Planning, Purchasing, or Quality Control
  • Education: 4-year B.S./B.A. degree (preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering) or equivalent
  • Certifications & Skills: APICS, CPM, or equivalent; Lean or Six Sigma; SAP/Netsuite ERP
  • High level experience in the Food Industry with CPG of dry products, specifically baking mixes preferred
  • Strong planning and organizational along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills, including full competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

Digital Marketing Manager  

Location: Santa Monica, CA                      Status: Full Time       Start Date: Yesterday

About the Role:

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be leading and executing all digital media marketing initiatives for the growing Foodstirs brand. You will partner with executive team to design and implement digital marketing and paid media strategy, focusing on channel, audience and creative testing and optimization. This role will be critical in driving plans to achieve growth objectives, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth and challenging startup environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement consumer and business marketing initiatives involving demographic targeting, segmentation, AB Testing, personalization and UI/UX optimization for the website
  2. Manage SEM, SEO, paid social, influencer marketing programs for eCommerce
  3. Responsible for day-to-day management of campaigns and oversee paid digital agency. This includes, ad copy writing, managing creative assets, bid management, creative optimization, budget management, etc.
  4. Plan, write, build, and send weekly emails. Manage database segmentation, presentation and quality assurance of all outbound campaigns.
  5. Coordinate and execute referral & loyalty programs
  6. Coordinate, plan, and execute consumer surveys
  7. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate digital marketing data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  8. Work with technology to ensure proper reporting and management for marketing campaigns
  9. Website Monitoring - Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools.
  10. Performs day-to-day website UI/UX analysis and updates website as needed with photo and assets
  11. Assisting in the planning and developing of strategies for increasing engagement and conversion
  12. Works closely with executive team to execute marketing initiatives online
