Candy Corn Fruit Treat
It’s the final count down to Halloween and National Candy Corn Day. Carnivals and school parties are filling up the days, and candy and sugary treats are everywhere to be enjoyed.
Controlling the amount of sugar your child eats during Halloween is always a difficult parenting task. Kids will want to sort, trade, and eat some of their trick-or-treat candy Halloween night. So, offering nature’s sweet treat of fruit for dessert, instead of cookies and cupcakes, will help lower the amount of refined sugar they gobble up.
Fruit is always a healthy, easy, and delicious option for dessert. This fruit play on candy corn can be assembled within minutes and makes it festive to eat tangerines and pineapples for dessert or anytime of the day! Have a safe and happy Halloween!
How Kids Can Help:
Fill jars with tangerines and pineapples.
Spoon whipped cream on top of tangerines.
Top with candy corn and sprinkles.
