In a small bowl, combine flax meal and water. Set aside to thicken. In a mixing bowl, beat vegan butter with electric mixer on low speed or by hand until creamy. Slowly add dry cookie mix, flax egg and spices then blend until a dough forms. Shape dough into a flat disc, wrap in plastic and freeze 15 minutes or until firm.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove dough from freezer. Measure tablespoon sized pieces of dough, then shape into rounded rectangle shapes and place 2” apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until edges begin to turn golden. Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
To make the golden milk, combine all ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk ingredients together and bring to a simmer. Pour mixture into a mug and enjoy!
