Food crafting with your kids creates family traditions, memories and festive decorations for the table. Apples are a favorite fruit among children and what better way to win them over than to dip them in caramel! For this craft we used Crab Apples, so the amount of caramel and chocolate coating the fruit is a lot less than the large candy covered apples found in stores.
These little apples will add a touch of color to your table. You can add name tags and use them as table place cards or wrap them in kraft paper and twine, sending them home with your guests. Either way, both kids and adults will love them!
How Kids Can Help:
- Wash the apples.
- Push the sticks into the apples.
- Dip the apples into caramel.
- Drizzle with chocolate.
