Ingredients
1 Foodstirs Organic Sweet Tooth Sugar Cookie Mix
3/4 cup brown sugar
10 tbsp softened butter, room temperature
2 cups chopped pecans
11 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In a standing mixer combine room temperature butter, dry cookie mix and brown sugar. Mix until well blended, then press mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the top of cookie mixture. In a small saucepan combine remaining butter and brown sugar and bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring often. Simmer 3 minutes and continue to stir until thickened slightly.
Remove from heat and pour over pecans. Bake for 17-20 minutes or until bubbling and golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. Allow bars to sit for 3-4 minutes, then use a spatula to spread melted chocolate evenly. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
